Client Draws · Milestones, the portal, and getting paid

Your clients always know where their project stands.

Set the draw schedule once. Your client sees progress, what is due, and what is paid, and pays from one place.

The old way

  • A draw you meant to send last week.
  • "What do I owe you?" at nine at night.
  • Contracts in one inbox, photos in another, the invoice in a third.
  • A client who feels out of the loop, and says so.

With Plumb

  • Draws set up when the project is, visible on the schedule.
  • The client opens their portal and sees what is due.
  • Documents, progress, and payments in one place.
  • A client who knows where things stand without asking.

What you can do

Milestones

The draw schedule, set once

When you create the project, you set the client's payment milestones — the schedule of values. Each draw has an amount and a place in the job.

Client portal

One page for your client, and nothing else

Your client sees their project's progress, what is owed, what has been paid, and their documents. They do not see your subs, your costs, or your other jobs.

Draws on the schedule

See the draw beside the work that earns it

Client draws show on the project timeline next to the work orders, so you can see when money should be coming in relative to when it is going out.

Inviting a client

One link. That is the onboarding.

Send your client an invitation. They open the link, connect a bank account when they are ready to pay, and they are in.

Simple pricing. No surprises.

Every plan includes every feature. Subs never pay to get paid.

Questions

What exactly does my client see?

Their project: name, address, status, and progress; the payment schedule with what is paid and what is due; the documents you have shared; and a Pay button.

Can my client see my subcontractors or my costs?

No. Work orders, subs, and your finances are never shown to a client.

How does a client pay?

From the portal, bank to bank. They connect a bank account once. Funds land in 24–48 hours.

Can I record a check a client handed me?

Yes. Record it against the milestone it paid, and the portal and your finances both reflect it.

What's live today, and what's next?

Milestones, the client portal, draws on the schedule, and client invitations are live. Next: reminders when a draw is due, so requesting one is never something you have to remember.
