Pay your people. Every dollar with context.
The old way
- A Friday-afternoon call asking to pick up a check.
- An invoice that shows up a week after the work.
- A check that clears three business days later.
- Nobody sure which milestone that payment was for.
- A sub who is not on any software, paid by hand.
With Plumb
- The request comes in with photos, tied to the milestone.
- You approve on your phone; the transfer starts.
- Bank to bank, 24–48 hours, no drive.
- Every payment sits on its work order and project.
- Subs without an account get paid by email.
What you can do
Requests with proof
The request arrives with the work attached
When a milestone is done, the sub requests payment from the job site and attaches photos. You are not approving an invoice — you are approving the work.
Approve, then pay
See the work before money leaves the bank
Approval and payment are two taps. Nothing goes out that you have not looked at, and nothing waits on someone finding a checkbook.
24–48 hours
Bank to bank in a day or two
Payments move directly between bank accounts. The sub sees it coming; the money lands in 24–48 hours.
Pay anyone
Your sub does not need an account
Send a payment invitation by email. The sub connects a bank account and gets paid — no login, no onboarding, no training.
The sub's view
Your subcontractors always know when they will be paid
A sub on Plumb sees each request, what has been paid, and what is coming — without calling your office.

Questions
How fast do subs get paid?
24–48 hours from approval, bank to bank.
What's in it for my sub?
The sub sees the scope, schedule, and files up front, requests payment from the job site with photos, and watches it go from requested to approved to paid without calling your office. Receiving money on Plumb is always free for subs.
Does my sub need to be on Plumb?
No. A payment invitation by email lets a sub connect a bank account and get paid without creating an account.
Can I record a check I wrote outside Plumb?
Yes. Record it against the work order and milestone it paid for, and it shows up in the same history as everything else.
What does it cost?
Each plan includes a number of payments per month; beyond that, a flat fee per payment. Paid plans start with a 30-day free trial; sending payments is not part of the trial. Subs never pay to receive money.
What's live today, and what's next?
Requests with proof, approvals, bank-to-bank payments, accountless invitations, recording outside payments, and full payment history are live. Next: collecting lien waivers with the payment, so the release and the money move together.
